Reverse Mantra is a joint project of artist Gabriela Těthalová and musical collective POMELO. Name of the project refers to sound and repetition – ‘mantra’ as a song or a poem and a meditative state of mind in a painting process, ‘reverse’ ties to a point where an order is disrupted to create something new and unpredictable. Project relates, among others, to a cyclical perception of time vs. an anachronistic conception of history as well as to fragmentation of space and limits of human perception in contemporary digital environments.
